Dublin and Monaghan faced off in the All-Ireland football semi-final yesterday with a final score of 1-17 to 0-13 to send the Dubs into another All-Ireland Final in two weeks’ time.
Dublin battled hard to secure their place in the final, overcoming a strong challenge from Monaghan. The game was closely contested, with Monaghan managing to stay level with Dublin until the final 10 minutes. However, Dublin finished strongly, outscoring Monaghan 1-5 to 0-1 in the closing stages of the game.
Cormac Costello was the standout performer for Dublin, scoring a total of 0-7 and earning the Man of the Match award. He played a crucial role in Dublin’s victory, contributing to their scoring efforts from both frees and play. James McCarthy and Brian Fenton were also influential in the late surge by Dublin, with Con O’Callaghan having an excellent second half.

Dublin’s win means they have qualified for the All-Ireland final for the first time since 2020. They will face either Kerry or Derry in the final who complete the other semi-final later on today from HQ.
